Summary
Two weary travelers arrive at a Koch Schule an hour late and witness bathing rituals and gymnastic exercises performed by young adults in the nude, followed by a rejuvenating ultraviolet lamp treatment and a shower accompanied by singing. They express astonishment at this public display of nudity and wonder how such an institution would be received in the United States. They learn about the history and unique financial structure of the Koch schools from Fräulein Adrian and read a newspaper article about the founder's struggle against prudish opposition.
