Summary
After World War I, the theories of Leo Tolstoy found popularity in Austria. Tolstoy's followers, called Christocrates, established a healthy and simple lifestyle close to nature, but their way of life faced opposition. In Switzerland, nearly all naturist parks prohibit the consumption of meat, tobacco, and alcohol, aligning with German naturist traditions, while in France, communal nudity is widely accepted, with over 100 naturist beaches and parks.
