Summary
After finding an exposed camping spot at the base of Rooster Butte, the narrator and a companion enjoy a peaceful day in the Valley of the Gods, taking in the beautiful landscape as the sun sets. The wind dies down, allowing them to roam freely in the peaceful desert, and they plan to experience it again at dawn before falling asleep under the starry sky.
