Summary
In February 2000, South Florida Free Beaches sought beach renourishment sand for Haulover Beach Park as it was omitted from the US Army Corps of Engineers project. By March 2002, the project was funded, with a draft Environmental Assessment available for public review at Miami Beach Public Library, leading to the scheduled awarding of the contract in September 2002 for the placement of 14,000 cubic yards of beach quality sand.
