Summary
DeAnza Springs Resort hosted its first boat regatta on the Fourth of July, challenging competitors to build boats out of cardboard and duct tape. Two boats competed to sail the farthest across the outdoor pool, with one boat successfully sailing to victory and the other sinking halfway. Despite this setback, the event drew a crowd of about 40 people, and the resort looks forward to future regattas.
