Summary
The AANR is involved in the American Recreation Coalition (ARC) and worked with Federal team leader John Hunter to support the passage of the Outdoor REC Act signed by the President, which aims to formally assess and analyze the outdoor recreation economy. The Act is expected to provide official government recognition of the outdoor economy, aid Federal agencies in managing public lands, and inform decision makers and audiences about the importance of outdoor recreation to the U.S. economy.
